Ans: NLP or Neuro Linguistic Programming is a Behavioral Science. NLP is the art and technology of achieving personal, professional and corporate excellence.
Q. What does NLP ?
Ans: NEURO: Neurons in the brain creating the pathways of your experiences.
LINGUISTIC: Language and how you say it that affects others and more so deepens your own pathways (both +vely and –vely).
PROGRAMMING: Relevant pathways in a given context that make you behave the way you do. NLP enables you to understand and change the way you think, feel and behave. It helps you to choose what to do, and be what you want to be.
Q. Who started it?
Ans: Dr. Richard Bandler, an information scientist and John Grinder, a professor of linguistics. Many others have contributed a lot and it is still continuing.
Ans: 1972 onwards
Q. How it is different from any other program?
Ans: No change occurs at the conscious level until a change is made at the subconscious (existing pathways) level.
Q. How does it work?
Ans: Through visualization exercises and the artful use of language.
Q. How long does the effect last?
Ans: The mind is capable of “one shot learning”. That’s how fears and phobias get installed. Capable practitioner installs positivity's.
